This includes all transport within a company or on company premises. Because even on a company site or in a warehouse, products or raw materials are sometimes moved for miles. Internal transport also includes the transport of products or raw materials in a warehouse or factory. But it can also be on an internal site or in a harbour area. The transport is carried out with machines specialised in loading and unloading products or a load. Products are stored differently. For example, they are stacked or placed on shelves. Vehicles specialised in internal transport

A characteristic of vehicles used for internal transport is that they do not leave the company premises. They are therefore often not allowed to be used on public roads and do not have a number plate. They must be fast, practical and ensure safe transport. The trolleys usually run on wheels and are generally manoeuvrable in order to transport products in smaller spaces or narrow corridors. To this end, the machines sometimes have articulated steering.

The machines for internal transport can have an electric motor or a normal motor. The lifting systems are mostly hydraulic. Some are suitable for lifting and/or stacking products.

Vehicles for internal transport for various purposes

The diversity of vehicles shows how diverse the work with internal transport vehicles is. For example, electric tow tractors are used to transport cargo in a warehouse, which can be done with manpower. Forklift trucks are used to lift products higher, but come in different sizes and for different purposes. An example is the forklift truck that can transport pallets.
